The Blue Eye is one of the most visited natural monuments in southern Albania, known for its cold water and deep blue color. The circular shape and the contrast between the dark center and the lighter edges give the spring the appearance of an eye when viewed from above, hence its name. With a considerable flow of 18,400 liters of water per second, the Blue Eye is one of the largest springs in the country and forms the source of the Bistricë River. The water maintains a constant temperature of 10–13°C throughout the year, making the place a refuge of coolness even on the hottest summer days. Declared a Natural Monument and covering an area of 1.8 square kilometers, the surrounding area offers a peaceful and verdant environment, suitable for light walks and relaxation in nature. Visitors' attention is focused on the balcony built over the spring, from where the characteristic shape that gave the place its name can be admired.
